Did You Know About SmartVax?

Oh my. So I just learned a whole bunch of important stuff. First of all, that reality TV is SO brutal. Did you see what happened on Bachelor Pad and just recently on Big Brother? Dan just made a giant move. I'm going to buy his book. I plan on being on Big Brother. I don't have high hopes for this upcoming season (Season 15) because I've heard it takes like years but I WILL be on someday. I hope you'll watch.

Second of all, and WAY on a different subject, I'd like to talk about my follow up to my other post on vaccines.

I took my Nev to the doctor. I saw the one I'm not a big fan of. I wish I would have recorded the conversation. I had planned on it and then I got all nervous and flustered which is a huge problem I have with that doctors office. They do not promote an educated parent. Because as I expressed concern about the excipients in some of the vaccines and asked if they offered preservative free vaccines she promptly cut me off and said, "ALL of our vaccines are preservative free." So then I asked if it would be okay if I saw the inserts for the vaccines.

So we talked for quite awhile. I could feel the irritation in her voice as she said to me, "If you are interested in an alternative schedule you need to make an appointment for a consult." And then as she went to talk to the nurses she left the door open to the room and I could overhear her bad talking me to the nurses.

She came back in saying that "oh, well, a couple of the vaccines do have those preservatives in them." (The ones I was concerned about were formeldyhyde, aluminum and thimerisol).

Nevie ended up with two vaccines this time. She had the oral Rotavirus one and something else I can't remember right now.

We're headed for a follow up. I wanted to do one vaccine a month. I want to be smart. And I want you to be smart too!

Please do your research. Especially on the flu vaccine (I recommend the FluMist. It's not a shot. It's a nasal spray. There's no thimerisol in it.)

PLEASE go visit this website. If you claim to be informed than you should know about this. Because I didn't.

Nevie at 5 months. Which is when this post was made. lol

  1. Yeah, Big Brother? lol That's way over. And can I just say, we never talked about the end! Yeesh! It was stressful.

Anyway, wowwww about the Dr office. I hate pediatricians. I have never been to one not like that. I get nervous too btw. And thanks for the link, I'm checking it out right now!
